Topaz
The symbol of friendship, topaz comes in all colours. Traditionally, topaz is thought of as a light, sky blue stone, but it was not until quite recently that this colour has been widely available. The stone is most highly valued in a golden orange-yellow colour, known as Imperial Topaz. Pink is an increasingly popular colour for topaz, but naturally occurring pink topaz is extremely rare.
Topaz is found all over Asia, Europe and South America. It is quite a hard stone and therefore relatively resistant to scratches and chips.
In some birthstone calendars Citrine is also associated with November.
