Diamond
Signifying brilliance, strength and commitment, diamonds are the hardest, most durable and some of the most beautiful gemstones known to man, and for that reason are the stone of choice to express everlasting love. The word diamond is derived from “adamas”, meaning unconquerable.
Diamonds are composed of the singe element carbon, which under pressure for millions of years, forms diamond crystals. These crystals are cut into a variety of shapes including brilliant round, princess cut, emerald, baguette, oval, pear and marquise.
Traditionally pure white, diamonds are now more commonly available in other colours including pale pinks and blues, yellow, orange, green and delicate shades of brown often known as champagne or cognac diamonds.
