Citrine
A member of the large quartz family, citrine gets its name from its beautiful colour, which varies from pale lemon yellow to brown. As one of the few gemstones available in this colour, apart from the costly yellow diamond or sapphire, citrine is fairly unique. Most citrine is produced in Brazil. Citrine is a relatively hard stone and therefore fairly resistant to scratches, but should nevertheless be treated with care.
Citrine is one of the traditional birthstones for the month of November.
