Chalcedony
Chalcedony is part of the quartz family, but unlike other forms of the mineral which are generally formed from a single crystal, chalcedony constitutes finely grained microcrystals. Available in a number of colours - most commonly white to greyish blue, brown or black - varieties of chalcedonies include agate, bloodstone, moss agate, jasper and black onyx.
